On July 27, immediately following the Marmot Deliberation at 12:45 P.M. at Covenant Eyes office, wood chuckers from all walks of life will gather to find out who is the best woodchucker of them all! There will be three divisions: anyone weighing under 100 pounds will be in the Ground Squirrel Division; anyone 100 pounds or more will be in the Woodchuck Division; and any governor will be in the Governor’s Division.

It is hoped that Governor Granholm of Michigan and Governor Palin of Alaska will attend. The Alaska State Legislature has proclaimed its own Marmot Day.
